Climate change is defined as shifts in temperatures and other patterns (in terms of weather). These variations may be natural, for example due to variations in the solar cycle. But human activity has been a major cause of global warming since the 18th century, primarily the burning of fossil fuels such as coal, oil and natural gas. Burning fossil fuels produces emissions of greenhouse gases that wrap the planet like a blanket, absorbing heat from the sun and raising the temperature.
It's already late, therefore we have to find a way to adapt to climate change so that it is not so terrible for humanity.
There are many ways to deal with global warming:
Find other alternatives of transport (sustainable transport)
Invest in renewable energy
Throw each product in the right container
Buy sustainable products
Protect forests and oceans
Recycle, Reduce and re-use
...
We went to Barcelona to do a bike route through Poble Nou. While we were doing the bike route, we saw the Forum port (were all the solar panels are there as a renowable energy) and we ended seeing el riu Bessòs.
There are some organizations that work to be a more sustainable mobility in Barcelona so that’s why we went there: to see and promote how using bicycles is a way to reduce pollution in the world.
It is located in Barcelona and it's the first center to promote sustainable mobility in Spain and they specialize in the development of bicycles as a mode of transport in the city. In addition to mobility, BiciHub association is a project that also revolves around the Social and Solidarity Economy (ESS). They are committed to mutual cooperation and community of social facilities, always applying a transversal feminist perspective. In this sense, they want to be part of the citizens' heritage and for the local agents and the neighborhood.
