Description: Each year, our high school has got a convocatoire to take tests in German. Thanks to the German teacher, I was able to present myself to the Fit A2 test with the rest of the students in the high school.Â
Planning/previous thoughts: When I found out I could take the Fit A2 test, I decided to go for it. I knew it would require preparation, so I studied in and out of class to feel ready. I saw it as a way to challenge myself and to measure my progress in a language I’ve been learning for a while. It wasn’t just about passing a test, I wanted to pass it with flying colours.Â
Activity's valoration: The day of the test, I felt a bit nervous but prepared. We completed both written and oral parts, and I tried to stay calm and focused. However, the place seemed imperative, but the examinators were extrememly nice, so I didn't feel much of a pressure. The tasks weren’t easy, but I used what I had learned and tried my best to stay confident throughout the process.
Final reflection: Taking the Fit A2 test helped me realise how far I’ve come in German. It was a good reminder that progress is built little by little, through effort and consistency. I also gained experience in taking official German language exams.
Even if I wasn’t completely sure of every answer, I felt proud for showing up and doing my best and I passed with flying colours, so I achieved my main aim.
