As you may know, Netflix has recently released the four-part limited series entitled “Adolescence”, which centers around the aftermath of a shocking act of violence and how it affects a school, a community, and a family. This powerful show explores the ups and downs of teenage life—from identity and mental health to friendships and family relationships.
If you haven't had the opportunity to see the show yet, here is some information that can give you an insight into the British drama, bringing attention to the challenges of young people and the influence of social media on their development: Everything you need to know about "Adolescence"
We would like to invite all parents to join an upcoming on-line discussion group focused on the popular Netflix series. We believe it’s important to create space for open dialogue about the issues our teens are facing. This is a great opportunity to connect with other parents, share perspectives, and reflect on how we can best support our children through these formative years.
Discussion Details:
Date: 20th of May 2025
Time: 10:00 a.m
Location: On-line Google Meet Link
Hosted by: Brenda St.George, Milena Stamenkovic, Secondary School Counselors
This session will use themes from the series to spark meaningful conversations around the emotional, social, and mental health challenges teens face today. Let’s come together to listen, learn, and support each other as a parent community.
