PRIMARY SCHOOL
SECONDARY SCHOOL
Dear Secondary Parents and Students,
It was fantastic to welcome you on campus yesterday for our back to school day. A particular highlight was to see the number of middle school parents that attended and the team and we appreciated having so many of you join your child on campus. Moving forward, we would love to see a greater number of high school parents come and participate also as we feel that closer links between parents, teachers and students ensure that every student has the support they need to be successful. Whilst our high school students will try to convince you that there is no need for you to attend or may even tell you that they do not want you to attend, please know from us that we want you here and find these opportunities to connect just as valuable for them as it is for our middle school students.
Please find here links to each of the presentations share at back to school day:
Welcome to Secondary School, Mr. Kane and Mr. Kipmen
An introduction to Student Support Services, Mrs. Kane
An introduction to Safeguarding , Ms. St. George
An introduction to the MYP, Ms. Westby
(Presentation 1) An introduction to the IBDP and (Presentation 2) the Innovation Diploma, Ms. Sreckovic-Minic and Dr. Denmon
Navigating higher education pathways, Ms. Mi
An introduction to Athletics and Activities, Mr. Atanaskovic
Next week it will be that time of year where we complete the class photos for the year. Please find the schedule attached HERE and ensure that your child is ready to have their photo taken on the allocated day.
Next weekend is our annual PTA fun run and this is a great opportunity to come, share in some food and conversation and even run around our beautiful campus. It will be great to see many of you here and please remember to bring hats, sunglasses, sunscreen and water bottles as the weather can be warm.
Thank you to all parents that have completed the forms for our upcoming Secondary trips week. We hold these close to the beginning of the year as they are a great opportunity for our students and teachers to connect and really get to know each other. Each grade level will be exploring a different part of our fabulous host nation and will be participating in some exciting activities. For those students that are unable to attend please remember that as all secondary grade levels and faculty will be away, there will be no lessons at school and these children will remain at home.
Finally, next Wednesday is the first of our professional learning sessions for our faculty and all students will have an early dismissal at 1pm.
Wishing you a relaxing weekend and please do not hesitate to reach out if we can be of any assistance.
Kind regards,
Mr. Kane and Mr. Kipmen
Dear Families and Students,
It was wonderful to see so many families on campus this week for the Back to School sessions. Thank you to those parents who joined the Student Support Team sessions, we hope these sessions gave you all an insight into the ethos and philosophy of the Student Support Team and one of our key messages was that of collaboration. The Primary Student Support team presentation is available to view on Toddle and the Secondary Student Support Team presentation is available in the Secondary section of this Friday Flash. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, don’t hesitate to be in touch with myself or a member of the team. Read more...
