Intercambio escolar con centro británico curso 2023 2024.
El alumnado del IES Alhamilla visitó Inglaterra en Octubre de 2023, durante una semana fueron acogidos por familias Inglesas y el centro Tomlinscote School
Desde el 25 de abril al 2 de mayo 2024 alumnado Británico del centro Tomlinscote School de la localidad de Frimley, Surrey del Reino Unido ha convivido con alumnado del IES Alhamilla y sus familias en un intercambio escolar.
Han compartido clases en nuestro centro y visitas educativas a la Alhambra de Granada, Cuevas de Nerja y MiniHollywood en Tabernas. Creemos que el intercambio escolar genera lazos de convivencia y respeto. Agradecer el esfuerzo de los docentes del IES Alhamilla y de Tomlinscote School por su implicación.

School exchange with British school
From 25th April to 2nd May 2024 British students from Tomlinscote School in Frimley, Surrey, UK, have been living together with students from IES Alhamilla and their families in a school exchange programme.
They have shared classes in our school and educational visits to the Alhambra in Granada, the Nerja Caves and MiniHollywood in Tabernas. We believe that the school exchange generates bonds of coexistence and respect. We would like to thank the teachers of IES Alhamilla and Tomlinscote School for their involvement.

School exchange with a British school
From 22 to 29 March 2023 British students from Tomlinscote School in the town of Frimley, Surrey in the United Kingdom have lived with students from IES Alhamilla and their families in a school exchange.
They have shared classes in our center and educational visits to the Alhambra in Granada, Nerja Caves and Tabernas Desert. We do believe school exchanges generate bonds of coexistence and respect. We would like to thank the teachers of IES Alhamilla and Tomlinscote School for their efforts.
We intend to continue in successive years giving the students of IES Alhamilla the opportunity to broaden their international experiences.

Nuestro alumnado ya ha vuelto de Inglaterra después de pasar una semana inolvidable.
Han tenido la oportunidad de practicar y mejorar su inglés conviviendo con una
familia inglesa, compartiendo sus costumbres y aprendiendo su cultura. Realizaron excursiones a Winchester, Stonehenge, Oxford y Londres y tuvieron la oportunidad de hacer una visita guiada en inglés en la Cámara de los Comunes del Palacio de Westminster y otra a la Universidad de Oxford. También asistieron a clase en Tomlinscote School Frimley con sus compañeros-as. Fue una semana llena de emociones y experiencias nuevas y enriquecedoras que no olvidarán. Ahora esperan con emoción la visita del grupo inglés el próximo mes de Marzo.

Our students have returned from England after an unforgettable week.
They have had the opportunity to practise and improve their English by living with an English family, sharing their customs.and learning about their culture. They went on excursions to Winchester, Stonehenge, Oxford and London and had the opportunity to take a guided tour in English at the House of Commons in the Palace of Westminster and another to Oxford University. They also attended classes at Tomlinscote School Frimley with their classmates. It was a week full of excitement and new and enriching experiences that they will not forget. They are now looking forward to the visit of the English group next March.

Tomlinscote holds the British Council’s International School Award. This globally recognised award is achieved by schools that do outstanding work in international education by embedding multiculturalism in the curriculum.
We, at Tomlinscote, believe that young people today should gain a broad cultural understanding and develop the relevant skills in order to live and work as global citizens.
Working alongside our partner schools in France, Germany, Spain, South Africa and China, we have developed activities where students can learn by making connections with other young people across the globe. Even during the pandemic, through an established programme of activities, Tomlinscote students have enjoyed many opportunities to experience other cultures.
An international outlook on the world is developed at Tomlinscote through a series of cross-curricular activities. As all students at Tomlinscote have an Ipad, they can use this technology to investigate other cultures in ‘real time’ and to create virtual links with schools abroad.
