Setting the Stage for Success: The Importance of Preparation

Coming to class fully prepared is about more than just having the right gear; it’s about respecting the learning process and ensuring that every minute of our lesson counts. When you arrive with everything you need, you demonstrate a readiness to engage and a commitment to your own progress.

Lack of preparation doesn't just affect your own momentum, it can disrupt the flow of the entire class. To maintain a focused and productive environment, we utilize a tiered system of "Kit Marks" to track readiness and provide the necessary support to get back on track.

How we track and communicate with families:

Consistency is key to your success. If you find yourself repeatedly missing required items, the following steps will be taken to help you recalibrate:

• Kit mark 1 - 1-1 conversation with teacher. 

• Kit mark 2 - Email to parent and student

• Kit mark 3 and 4 - Logged on powerschool which is why you got the alert. 

• Kit mark 5 and any more after - lunchtime detention which will be logged on powerschool and an email sent to parents.

Pro-Tip: Check your bag the night before. Future-you will appreciate the extra five minutes of sleep and the stress-free start to the day!
