"Not only do you not need to meet in person, but you also don’t need to install any software onto your computer. All you need is an internet connection."
- Alexandra Hemmer
A cloud-based learning environment is an educational setup where digital resources, activities, and interactions use cloud computing services over the internet.
The cloud-based environments allow for easy access, collaboration, and flexibility in learning, as users can engage with educational materials and participate in activities from any location with internet connectivity.

I am a Ph.D. student in Educational Technology at Iowa State University. As a graduate assistant, I teach pre-service teachers how to use educational technology in PK-6 classrooms.
I served as a primary school mathematics teacher in the Ministry of National Education for approximately three years in Turkey.
My research interests revolve around using educational technology in mathematics education and mathematical creativity. I am particularly passionate about exploring the intersection of these areas as a researcher. Additionally, I am interested in how GenAI tools are currently utilized in teacher training and how pre-service teachers are trained to incorporate GenAI tools into their teaching practices.
