It has been a very wet and blustery week both in school and across the local area, so we kindly ask that pupils attend in correct school uniform and bring a suitable coat each day to stay warm and dry.
We have also shared a questionnaire with families as part of our consultation on mobile phone use in school, which is shared again below. The more families who provide feedback, the more informed we will be as we decide on the way forward. Please note that we are not discussing a ban on mobile phones; instead, pupils would be given a secure pouch to store their phone on their person during the school day, with clear methods of communication between home and pupils via the school reception if needed.
It was lovely to see so many families of our sixth form pupils at Parents’ Evening on Wednesday, and there is lots of excitement building for our production of Matilda next week.
Finally, please note that our school will be celebrating Christmas Jumper Day on 12th December, rather than the national date of the 11th, at the request of our sixth form students, who are organising some special activities for that Friday.
Llongyfarchiadau i Flwyddyn 7! / Congratulations to Year 7!

Disappointing to lose against the tournament favourites - coaches, support team & parents remain very proud of the boys' efforts throughout the season. A fantastic achievement for the boys from Aberteifi who have represented YUA impeccably - great to see how players from schools across Ceredigion have bonded throughout the competition. Huge thanks to all staff and parents for their incredible support.

On Monday, pupils from Canolfan Y Castell enjoyed a day of crafts with BlueGreen Cymru, a Community Interest Company, who create and facilitate bespoke activities in woodlands, at community gardens, on the beach, indoors and in water. Pupils have previously enjoyed crafting activities at the Welsh Wildlife Centre and Teifi Marshes; this week we decided that the weather was a bit wet and windy for outdoor work so Anna and Seren kindly agreed to come inside and work with us in Canolfan!
Thanks you BlueGreen for lots of activities that work on our fine motor skills, creativity and imagination!
