An exciting opportunity for Practising Teaching Assistants.
The Practising Teaching Assistant Programme is for teaching assistants who have been in post for at least two years and who would welcome an update on the changing context of the profession. This national programme is delivered in person on a termly basis, by the EAS regional TALP coordinators.
The programme provides information on the Professional Standards, current relevant strategies to support practices, and a range of ideas and strategies to inspire professionalism back in school.
The programme covers:
The role of a teaching assistant and how to maximise professional impact
Policies and frameworks supporting practice
Changing contexts
Developing good listening, questioning and feedback for learners
Supporting and challenging every learner appropriately and adapting to all needs
New Professional Standards for Assistants to Teaching,
