These termly regional networks provide a collaborative platform for secondary middle leaders across Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Swansea who hold strategic responsibility for Relationships and Sexuality Education (RSE) as a cross-cutting theme within their schools.
Participants will:
Receive professional learning focusing on specific areas of the RSE Code, including progression planning, curriculum design and adopting a pluralistic and inclusive approach
Explore subject-specific pedagogy and resources that support the delivery of developmentally appropriate RSE across AoLEs, with examples of effective practice shared by peers
Engage in strategic curriculum development, with practical guidance on embedding mandatory RSE elements and supporting teachers to deliver effective RSE
Strengthen leadership capacity, with support for quality assurance, self-evaluation, and improvement planning tailored towards the RSE context
Collaborate regionally, building a community of practice to share challenges, co-construct solutions, and promote consistent messaging across schools
All delegates will leave with:
A deeper understanding of their leadership role in embedding RSE across the curriculum
Enhanced confidence in supporting staff with curriculum planning and delivery aligned to the RSE Code
Opportunities to reflect on and share effective practice in RSE pedagogy and leadership

Our advisers can work alongside your leaders and teachers in a range of bespoke activities to support your improvement journey in Relationships and Sexuality Education (RSE) as a cross-cutting theme within the Curriculum for Wales.
Sessions can be delivered at a time to meet your needs, e.g. INSET days, after-school sessions, etc.
For example:
Support with self-evaluation processes/ whole-school RSE audit and strategic planning.
Developing a whole school approach to RSE.
Excellent teaching in RSE which is values-led, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate.
Support for individual teachers delivering RSE.

Staff training on delivering RSE in line with the Curriculum for Wales.

Linking RSE with safeguarding, well-being, and learner voice initiatives.
