9 Areas of Eco-Schools

To be an Eco friendly school we must cover all 9 areas. The 9 areas are;

Each class could choose 1 area each. We decided that Global Citizenship and Health, Food & Well-being would be covered by everybody.

Platinum flag renewal (March 2022)

On the 9th March 2022 we went on a teams meeting to talk to Tim and he gave us our 3rd green platinum flag.

Below is the evidence we spoke about to support our application. We have worked really hard!

Tim from Keep Wales Tidy was extremely impressed with all the hard work and progress we had made.

He said;

It was great to catch up with some of the Eco Committee in our virtual meeting and hear about all the eco work that has been carried out. It is brilliant that you have that whole school involvement through each class taking a topic, and your work to help charities is really notable. Incorporating the costume swapshop into your World Book Day book swap is a lovely idea and one we will share. It is clearly evident that the pupils are comfortable using their voices and sharing ideas - incorporating litterpicking into your ramble was a great action. I look forward to hearing about more of your work in the future.

Eco Lesson (March 2022)

We noticed there was lots of fruit left on the yard that so we decided to do a litter pick around the yard.

In November 2021 we went on a sponsored ramble to help our outdoor area.

In March 2022 we did a book swap and a fancy dress swap.
