Our Vision
Mathematical development is a key skill for life at Cwmclydach Primary School. Every child is given the opportunity to challenge themselves and seek for solutions. We aim for all children to develop transferable skills, become adaptable and have high expectations.
We want children to be life- long learners and develop the skills that can be put into practice in everyday life and also have the confidence to participate as confident individuals in society.

The number system is used to represent and compare relationships between numbers and quantities
Algebra uses symbol systems to express the structure of mathematical relationships
Geometry focuses on relationships involving shape, space and position, and measurement focuses on quantifying phenomena in the physical world.
Statistics represent data, probability models chance, and both support informed inferences and decisions.
