When trying to implement Online Classes, there are many questions we may ask. Can students watch class videos from dusk till dawn? How can we grasp the number of students are participating in class? In this meeting, we introduce the 5 patterns of education to help rethink teaching: Communication (Mutual Understanding), Input (Lectures), Output (Assignments) Collaboration (Group Assignments), and Assessment (Evaluation).
In order to design an Online Class with mutual interaction between students and teachers, it is important to effectively blend [lectures] and [activities]. Hence, we have provided some explanations, demonstrations, and three possible examples for how to set up a class.
In the chat, we received such fantastic questions as how to individually evaluate student reports and forums over Moodle, what tools are available to have students doing group-work outside of class, and how to sign into ELMS outside of campus. The answers have been added to the FAQ, so please make sure to check there.
Thank you once again for participating. Also, we offer a special thanks to all those who helped respond to questions while participating.
