Gauging Learning Progress: Incremental Evaluation page published (July 9th). Here, you can find information about how to receive feedback and questions from students as well as how to perform incremental evaluations on students' progress using assignments and quizzes.
Simulcast Classes carry with them the risk of class merely proceeding without teachers getting any kind of feedback from students. Thus, we will provide explanations on points for grasping learning progress, points of caution while teaching classes, and how to accommodate students workload. Furthermore, we mixed in some concrete examples while discussing how collecting comment cards from students after class can help with feedback.
It is even more difficult to grasp learning progress in On-Demand Classes than in Simulcast Classes. Thus, we provided explanations on points for grasping learning progress in On-Demand Classes, goals and features of different types of evaluations, and using incremental evaluations to grasp learning. Additionally, we introduced examples while discussing turning assignments, mini-reports and rubrics, and how to provide feedback.
We introduced examples from Hokkaido University about how to use Moodle for teams and how to hold tests for foreign languages. In particular, we shared some pointers for holding foreign language tests and some tips and tricks for using Moodle and G Suite together to hold Online Classes.
