The Hokkaido University Center for Open Education made its Online Learning Implementation Guide available (along with an inquiry form) as of April 9, 2020. In doing so, we remained many excellent questions and will be constantly updating our FAQ in response to them. This time, our most common questions were about how to provide guidance materials to students before class registration has finished, Zoom's educational support program, and how to register for a WebEx account.
Many expressed concerns that they have never used Moodle before or that Moodle is too difficult to use. Others expressed that they would like to see a demonstration of how to use Moodle. In response to this, we we provided an explanation of how to do everything from logging-in to group design on Moodle.
Using the Chat function, we fielded many excellent questions about topics such as how to use breakout rooms on WebEx, checking for attendance during simulcast classes, and how to simulcast clinical teaching. Answers will be available on the FAQ, so please check there.
Once again, we would like to thank everyone who participated. We would like to extend a special thanks to all of you who helped discuss questions posed in the chat while you participated.
Because many participants expressed that a short span would be better for the Online Learning forum, our next meeting will be held on April 20, 2020 from 12:15~13:00.
