Computer Requirements

• Your student needs a computer and internet access to attend school online. Click here to view K12 Computer Technical Requirements.

• Students may be eligible to receive a loaner computer from MNVA if they qualify for educational benefits as determined by the Free and Reduced Meals (FARM) application.

• If you have any questions about the form, please send an email to: info@mnva.k12.mn.us.

• If you have students in elementary school, all students share one computer.

• K12 will not ship computers until it is close to school starting.

• If you do not qualify for a school loaner computer, you must provide a computer for your student yourself.

• Students cannot use most mobile devices such as tablets/iPads, smart phones, or Chromebooks as a primary device.

K12's recommended browser is Google Chrome - the latest version. (K12 does not recommend Chromebooks though because they are not adequate to support all the necessary software products needed). OLS users need to use the Flash Enabler Extension (a pop-up reminder will appear, if it's not installed).
