Fulfills MMC graduation requirement toward 1.0 credit in Visual, Performing, or Applied Arts.
Drawing basics such as eye-hand coordination, line, shape, texture, form, perspective, proportional, value awareness, and color theory are presented as each student learns drawing techniques and disciplines to develop the means for his/her own expression from a “beginners” level to a progressively more challenging one.
Materials needed: include a range of drawing pencils (4H, 2H, 2B, 4B, 6B), a sketchbook, an eraser, and a pencil sharpener.

Fulfills MMC graduation requirement toward 1.0 credit in Visual, Performing, or Applied Arts.
In this semester long course, students will build on the basic concepts of drawing to expand in multiple materials and investigate in more depth the possibilities of the mediums of charcoal, watercolor, ink, pastel, as well as mixed media and collage mediums.
