1943 ADVANCED PHOTOGRAPHY

Grades 10, 11, 12 * 1 Credit

Prerequisite: B- or higher in Photography II (941 or 90941)

Fulfills MMC graduation requirement toward 1.0 credit in Visual, Performing, or Applied Arts. Students will continue their exploration of Digital Photography.

They will work with a DSLR camera (provided) to execute advanced photography techniques to develop a more aesthetic and design-oriented approach. Computer enhancement through Adobe Photoshop© and Aperture© will increase the student’s capabilities for marketable skills. Career applications, preparing prints for exhibition, in-depth study of photography as an art form, and portfolio creation and submission will be explored and executed. Materials needed: Students are required to have their own thumb drive, SD memory card, and encouraged to have their own DSLR camera, a tripod and SD card reader. Fee: TBD
