Art Survey is an overview of the elements and principles of Design used in the Visual Arts, and how they have an impact on Cultures, History, and Movements. The course’s focus will be on the discovery and study of the impacts, trends, movements, cultural milestones and historic examples. As well as how the elements and principles of design are employed by Artists in documenting and the reporting on their heritage and personal experiences.
Students will report and document their discoveries of the Art World, in digital presentations for the class. Students will also document their own efforts in the making of a couple of personal artworks with the instructor’s guidance.
The Course assignments will be more involved with the researching and reporting of Art, than the production of art works.
