1953 ADVANCED GRAPHIC DESIGN

Prerequisite: Any one of the following classes: Digital Imaging (943), Digital Art (944), Photography I (940 or 90940), Photography II (941or 90941)
Fulfills MMC graduation requirement toward 1.0 credit in Visual, Performing, or Applied Arts. This advance class will offer students the opportunity to develop in-depth graphic design skills with an emphasis in computer graphics, electronic imaging, and digital production. Students will explore various techniques and methods in the manipulation of digital images, desktop publishing, digital photography and digital printing using Adobe Illustrator©, Adobe Photoshop©, Adobe InDesign©, as well as other software common in today’s creative world. Students will solve design problems from concept to completion while working towards final portfolio pieces and design competitions. Students will also explore educational and professional career paths in Graphic Design and Visual Communication.
