Fulfills MMC graduation requirement toward 1.0 credit in Visual, Performing, or Applied Arts.

This introductory course is for the student who would like to experience the exciting world of digital media and the visual arts. Students will use Apple Macintosh© computers to explore various tools and techniques using Illustrator©, Photoshop©, iPhoto©, iMovie© programs and more. Evaluation will be based on the student’s ability to combine design elements and principles with digital media.

Prerequisite:  C- or higher in Digital Art (944)

Description:

Students will continue their exploration of Digital Art and how to utilize multiple programs (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, as well as other software common in today’s creative world) to create works of art and digital productions.  Students will expand on digital art techniques and skills covered in Digital Art, as well as foundations of Graphic Design. Students will also explore educational and professional career paths in Graphic Design and Visual Communication.
