Develop a simple product using engineering materials
In this learning package you will need to develop a working prototype of a simple product incorporating materials and methods commonly used in mechanical engineering.
The product may be a model engine, tools, utensils, a tool box, mechanical toy, ornamental item, wrought iron work or steel furniture.
Complete all tasks in this Task Sheet.
You will need to:
Investigating how to develop the simple product.
Designing the product.
Building the product.
Answer questions about what you did
Complete and/or attach all documents, drawings (initial concept to final) and photographs showing design details.
Obtain design specifications from your supervisor or assessor that are suitable for the development of the simple product.
Your Assessor may ask you additional questions to check your knowledge and understanding
