Domingo Medina is a distinguished member of the Main South Neighborhood. Domingo immigrated to the United States from Puerto Rico in 1952 and settled in Worcester in 1964 with his wife. Medina wanted “to form an Hispanic organization that represented Hispanics” and so ALPA was formed. For many years he worked as an employment counselor for ALPA. Not only did Medina work as a job developer and provide jobs for many people in the community, but he also worked at the Education Resource Center looking for educational opportunities for Hispanics.
