Amalia Moscoso

Amalia Moscoso is a great example of an immigrant who was able to achieve their goal of building a better future for themselves and their family. Amalia immigrated from El Salvador to Worcester in 1999 with her sister Jeysol. Amalia is very happy with the life she has built for herself and her daughter in the Main South. In response to the question “Are you glad you came?”Amalia said, “Oh yes I am glad. It is a better future over here. Now I know English and I have a daughter and she does good in school.” Amalia is extremely motivated and is studying for the GED. She hopes to help others by working as an interpreter, because often in the clinic she works at she helps people who have difficulty communicating with the english clinicians.
