It seems the "parkway" between the school and main street is better suited for a "private" park owned and maintained by the developer so that they can be certain to control use and could even hire security. The park would be an amenity to the commercial properties and perhaps the homes/ multi-family in the neighborhood. - B.C.
Not to complicate our project anymore, but I wonder if it is worth exploring if there is any partnership development we can strike with the county for a public park designation along the Main Street portion, which could then alleviate this issue with the DOE not wanting to take responsibility for it. Perhaps at least flagging this as a further discussion point within the thread that Troy is weaving for the project. - L.L.
