In this podcast, Zainab asks the question, how do different generations react to slang words. Zainab interviews a series of adults with slang terms that teens use. She asks the adults what they think a word means. After their responses, she reveals the meaning. Maybe they will come to an understanding of why teens need to have a generational “hidden language”, well at least they’ll have fun along the way. This was inspired by an article about James Calahan in his glossary of slang terms with students.

They have watched so many movies and tv shows and have asked the question, why do some schools have a class where everyone hangs out and why do others have small cliques? They decide that this year as 8th graders, they want to crack through this topic and find out where the class of 2028 is heading. What will the trajectory be of our high school experience?

In this podcast, Ashley deals with the hard reality that swimming just doesn’t get the same love as other sports. Regardless of successes, some people either don’t realize that a team exists or don’t even realize it’s a sport that people actually do. Either way, Ashley wants to get to the bottom of this with her fellow swimmers, boys / girls team, her coach and her family who also swims.
