In this in-person course, you’ll learn everything you need to launch your own podcast, guided by an experienced educator and podcaster. From brainstorming ideas to publishing your episodes, we’ll cover every step of the process. Using professional-grade equipment—including microphones, a digital audio production mixer, and editing software—you’ll gain practical skills and confidence in podcast production.

• Podcast Planning: Turn your ideas into a structured and engaging podcast.

• Show Notes Writing: Craft notes that attract and engage your audience.

• Microphone Techniques: Learn how to sound professional with proper mic skills.

• Sourcing Music: Find and integrate the perfect music to set your podcast’s tone.

• Audio Editing: Master editing software to create a polished final product.

• Hosting & Distribution: Discover platforms for hosting and sharing your podcast.

• Location: Herricks Middle School, Room 218 (7 Hilldale Drive, Albertson, NY 11507)

• Dates/Times: July 15, 16, 17 (8:30 AM - 12:30 PM) & July 18 (8:30 AM - 11:30 AM)

• What to Bring: Headphones or earbuds and a laptop for hands-on learning.

• Dress Code: Wear something that represents a favorite hobby or interest—a fun and personal way to break the ice!
