The 2016 HMS Slideshow

The 2016 slideshow was my final Slideshow. It is was done with both great joy and great sadness that I stepped away from doing the graduation slideshow. The joy comes from remembering the incredibly good times we've experienced working on the show with Tom Fauvel, Chris Conners, Dan Gillam, Mike Miller, Eric Feder, and the staff, student, and parent reactions. This idea of a slideshow was created as a “gift” to the students by Tom Fauvel and I have volunteered my time and equipment over the years. It’s not everyday that you get to make a creative project that is projected on 60 foot screen. Between family commitments, capturing the video/photography of the events, and the editing, I no longer have the time that I can a lot to making something that I would be proud of putting my name on. 

The project is roughly a 200 hour commitment between cutting & gathering audio video, and photography, mixing music, retouching, tagging, editing, assembly, and rendering. The pride that I feel for the slide show, our students, the staff, and all of our collective accomplishments is overwhelming. I appreciate you all and know that the work would not be possible without you. Thank you to the staff members that have shared photos of students on field trips and in their early years at HMS. In addition I would also like to thank those of you who have assisted in allotting me the time to photograph the students.
