Each dedicated podcast page has episodes made by the same student or students. There may be a single episode and in other cases, there may be several. Some students applied to contests in addition to their coursework for Content Creation Foundations. If a student created an entrant for a podcast contest, it will also appear on this page.
At the end of the year, Kristen and Alyssa spearheaded a special episode project as a culmination of Content Creation Foundations: Year One. This is well worth a listen! These students interviewed their peers, Dr. Sinanis, and included Mr. Heit to discuss the class and gain some insight into how the class started and why he feels it is such a success.

In this final podcast of the 2022-23 school year, we wanted to show off our class, our work, and our growth in the 8th Grade Content Creation Foundations Elective. We are so proud of our accomplishments in the Fall Silver, Fall Blue, Spring Silver, & Fall Blue classes! We have created podcasts that are available all over the world and in our opinion that's pretty amazing for a bunch of Middle School Students!
Discuss our experiences and time in the class (0:00)
Talk with some of our 8th-grade peers in the elective (4:50)
Interview Dr. Sinanis (8:09)

We hope that you take the time to listen to this episode in its entirety to see just how our experiences shaped our 8th-grade experience. We walked away with confidence, creativity, and friendships that we will always remember. Thank you to Mr. Heit for helping us with the "Three Cuh's: Content, Quality, and Chemistry." We hope to continue our podcasting down the road! We'll see you next time!

#053: *Special Episode* Final Smash: Interview With Mr. Mauro
In this impromptu interview, we get a chance to sit down with HMS Science Teacher and HMS Vidoe Game Club Advisor, Mr. Mauro. On June 14th, Ms. Candalino brought 8 players from the Herricks High School Gaming Club to face off against 8 players in the Herricks Middle School Gaming Club in a Smash Bros. Ultimate Tournament. Herricks Middle School Cafeteria was transformed that afternoon into a seeded competition for the joy of playing a game they love and a hobby they all share.
In this podcast, we discuss the tournament, how the HMS Gaming Club got its start, what games parents should be playing with their kids, the lost joy of playing couch co-op and how games can be social, inclusivity in gaming, Portal, virtual reality mini-golf & fishing, the Wavbird and of course Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. What is Mr. Mauro doing with those old TVs? Did he ever get around to building that robot? You'll have to listen to find out!
