Today's newsletter contains important information regarding attendance, picture day, our next PTA meeting, and the finalizing of our clubs and organizations!
When does an absence become an absence?
If a student is not present, he/she is absent. Attendance is taken each period throughout the school day. Exemptions and 90% attendance can be lost by being absent part or all of a day. The state determines attendance, and thus funding for the day is based on whether the student is present at the Official Attendance Time, which is 12:00 PM. at CAHEB. We appreciate your planning necessary healthcare appointments so that your student is not absent during the Official Attendance Time of 12:00 PM.
For more information, visit the Attendance Policy page on the HEB ISD website.
If you need to report your student's absence, please call 817.515.6751 or email AllisonSkrasek@hebisd.edu.
