Keep Calm and Experiment On!
In our biology yeast respiration lab, students mixed yeast, warm water, and sugar to observe how living organisms produce energy. As the yeast released carbon dioxide, the balloons inflated—showing real evidence of cellular respiration. This hands-on activity helped students connect abstract science concepts to a visible, real-world process.
