Scramble for Africa and the Berlin Conference of 1884–1885
AA World Geography students completed a simulation of the Scramble for Africa last week. They were assigned a European country, then took turns taking over each country in Africa. They held a Berlin Conference afterward to decide who retained control of their desired countries in Africa by rolling dice.

Tag, You're It!
Our AA Biology students recently brought science to life during a hands-on lab exploring homeostasis and body system interactions. They measured their heart rates and breathing rates before and after physical activity to see how their bodies respond to exercise. It was so much fun watching them play tag, chase one another, and move around outside — all in the name of science! They were able to clearly see how the circulatory and respiratory systems work together to maintain balance in the body.
