The A Level course expects you to have cultural and historical awareness of France and French speaking countries. Therefore, in order to develop your knowledge on these areas please complete the following:
Produce a list of French-speaking countries; don’t forget what is known as DROM-COM. Where are these located in the world? What characterises them?
Gather a few facts about French politics- current affairs
Prepare mind maps/fact cards on the following topics:French World Heritage sites Francophone music, French charities, French cinematography. Also, can you define what Patrimoine is? Give examples and find interesting articles on how it is celebrated.
Familiarise yourself with the AQA French A Level specifications
Try and make it a daily habit to read a short article in French (instagram: HugoDécrypte,eclat_positif_ or from websites: unjouruneactu, newsinslowfrench, linternaute)
