First person is when one of the characters is telling the story: I, me, we, our, my.
Listen to the story "The Day the Crayons came Home". Each Crayon is talking through their letters in a first person point of view. Can you find a book on RazKids or in your home that uses a first person point of view?
Third person is when the author or the narrator is telling the story: he, she, they, them, her, him.
Listen to the story "The Very Hungry Caterpillar". This is an example of a story where the third person point of view is used. Can you find a book on RazKids or in your home that uses a third person point of view?

Listen to 'The Cat in the Hat' by Dr. Seuss. Get a pencil and paper so that you can play the story a second time and listen to all the rhyming words. Write down all the rhyming words that you hear!
