Last week we had an awesome time spelling with Mrs T for some Physical Education and moving our bodies.
With it being so hot outside this week, I thought it would be nice to share these slides with you so you can challenge your parents to move along with you!
What words are you going to spell? Can you make a whole sentence?
Let's get moving!
Remember, moving your body not only gives you MORE energy, but it's great for your mind as well. With everything that has been going on in these last few months, it is important to take care of ourselves. This is a great way to have fun, exercise, and release the happy feelings in your body.
I would love to hear what you are up to! Keep me posted by sending me an email at merrittjo@hdsb.ca
ENJOY!

To all the dads out there, thank you for being you and for setting the example that you do for your kids!
I hope that you enjoyed the day and felt the love from all of those around you.

As we near the end of school it is important for your child to "tune in" and continue to enhance their relationship and strengthen connections through Google Meets.
Please try to have your child log into AS MANY Google Meets as they can. Each one has a different purpose, a different topic, and at times taught by one of your student's different teachers.
This week, we are excited to welcome Ms Greene, Mrs Grant, as well as myself for some amazing learning opportunities.
Cant wait to see you!

A message from our administrators of Boyne Public School.
Below you will find the date and time for your visit to the school in order to retrieve your child(ren)’s items. Please find where your child’s last name would fit in alphabetical order in the chart and come to the school at this time. We will be sending out two other messages after this announcement with more precise details, including the protocols that must be followed if you are coming to the school. Only one parent is allowed to come to the school and we will need your cooperation at following the protocol precisely as we have close to 1000 students with materials to pick up, and only one week to do this huge task. We are going to ask for your cooperation and understanding. The staff is currently in the building on Mondays and Thursdays in order to organize all the materials. You will quickly come into the building, pick up items and leave. We wanted to get you your time and date immediately, and please look for the other email messaging that will be coming your way in regards to accessing the school.
If you have any questions, or need help finding your time, please email me at merrittjo@hdsb.ca and I will help.

Dear parents,
I would not be the person I am today if I didn't post something about what is going on in the world today. I cannot tell you what to think, what to feel, how to deal with it with your own families. However, I can give you resources, I can support you, I can help to educate. Please know that this comes from an empathetic, good place in my heart, and I do not always know the right words to say.
For now, I offer resources, I offer books to read, I offer conversation starters for your households. This is for you to choose to ignore or embrace. Please reach out if you have questions, comments, concerns.
Stay safe, stay engaged, stay informed.
Love from me to all of you and everyone who is hurting.
Miss Merritt

Don't forget about our Google Meets this week! Students will have the details in their emails. We have a Social Show and Tell on Tuesday, a Math drop in on Wednesday, and a Language drop in on Thursday. Please note that each meeting this week will be at 11:00am.
Although these are not mandatory, we would like to make sure that students are attending at least ONE session a week.
Happy Long Weekend! I hope you are enjoying a nice relaxing weekend!
Please complete the "3-1 Class Building Student Input" Google Form when you have a chance. Near the end of each school year teachers come together to discuss putting together classes for next year! Answer the questions to give your input on things such as : Who you work well with? Who do you find is challenging to work with?
Monday May 11, 2020
Make sure to check your emails today! It's always great to keep in touch with families.
Note from administration:
This week we found out our registration numbers are not meeting with our projections and we have had to declare two of our Kindergarten staff members as surplus to our school. This means they will still have a position in the Halton District School Board but we may have lost them at Boyne PS. This is disappointing because they both are valuable members of our team. If our numbers on file increase we will be able to keep them.
If you know anyone, or if you yourself need to register children in Kindergarten for September please do so now. Of course we are all uncertain for what September will bring, but having the registrations completed, and the count of students in our system at a particular level we will be able to retain these two staff members.

A mother is the first friend, teacher and the guide of a child and therefore it is important to celebrate Mother’s Day to acknowledge everything she does for all of us.
Wishing all the wonderful mothers, grandmothers, guardians, fur mamas, and everyone in between a very happy Mother's Day!
Sending warm wishes and hoping that the day is filled with love, joy, and smiles.
Friday May 8th - Children's Mental Health Week - Helping Others
We feel better when we are connected to others. Helping others is one way we can be connected. What are ways that you are helping others? Maybe keeping your room tidy or helping to set the table. Maybe you sing a song or play a game to brighten someone’s day.
These ideas are wonderful, but please make sure you remain social distancing and keep you, your family, and others safe!
Thursday May 7th - Children's Mental Health Week - Helping Myself: Reaching Out to Ask for Help
We all need help with something! What is something you need help with right now? Who can you count on to help you (family, friends, neighbors)? Sometimes we need to reach out and ask for help.
Wednesday May 6th - Children's Mental Health Week - Taking Care of Our Minds and Our Emotions

Tuesday May 5th - Children's Mental Health Week - Focusing on Our Strengths
We all have strengths - things that we are good at, or could be good at. Make a list of your strengths. Ask others what they see as your strengths. Maybe you are good at art or drawing or colouring. Maybe you tell great stories or jokes. Maybe you are good at entertaining or listening to others. Do something you are good at at least once a day!
Remind yourself of your strengths:

Monday May 4th Part 2 - Children's Mental Health Week - Taking Care of Our Bodies
This week is Children’s Mental Health Week. It runs the entire week from May 4th-8th. Connecting is essential for mental health, and this is especially true right now.
We are going to post some activities and/or resources each day this week that focus on connections to ourselves and to one another.
Get some exercise every day. Examples of exercises while physically distancing are: dancing to music, drumming at home, going for a walk, playing with the dog. Which exercise do you enjoy?
Try to keep your sleep routine. It is common to have your sleep interrupted during this time because you may have more worries or your routine may have changed.
Practice balanced eating as much as you can.

You families are on my mind a lot. Especially those with lots of kiddos at home. This was shared with us and I felt that maybe some of you might find this helpful to explain COVID 19 to your littles at home. I hope this helps in one small way.
April 19, 2020
Hello families,
I hope that you are safe and healthy. If you need any help academically, socially, financially, or emotionally, please reach out and we will find the supports that you need. I am not only here for your children, but also to support you as well.

I hope that everyone had a lovely weekend with their families. Moving forward as we begin Week 2 of ONLINE LEARNING you will find LOTS to keep you busy. Just a reminder the only REQUIRED work is the work posted in the Week of April 14 tab. The rest of the sections are extra fun to keep you busy and learning!
A couple important things for this week:
1) After each section is finished (reading, writing, math) there is a google form that you must fill in. It can be found below the activities on this page.
2) When you're doing a reading or writing response try doing it in a google doc and sending it to me! I would love to see it!
3) In the Overview of the Week you will find a bunch of links to different subjects with some fun activities. Explore them this week!
Happy Learning!

Please check your email for some "Homework" tasks this weekend. They are to help you and your child to get familiar with some of the programs we will be using. Thank you for all of your emails, I am responding and trying to help in any way that I can.
Remember, this may all seem very overwhelming, but I am here to support and we will figure this all out together. A "school" day at home is going to look very different then one in a typical school classroom learning environment. THAT IS OK! If a day slips away without concentrating on school work, that is ok. This is unprecedented times and the stress that we are all under is understandable. Try your best to connect with your child about how they are feeling. Keep some sort of routine that involves a walk outside (social distancing of course), some time to both have your child read and to read with your child. Connect as best you can, and let them know that they are not alone.
You will receive another email on Sunday night with expectations for the week and what distance learning will look like this week for your 3-1 student.
March 31, 2020
We have all heard many different things in these last few weeks, please know that we are still working with our schools, grade teams, and everyone involved to roll out some sort of distance learning for you and your child. Beginning next week, we will be trying some different online learning techniques. This is going to be a bumpy road as there is so much new in this process, so please be patient, remember to be kind, and that we are all doing the best that we can during this unprecedented time.
Looking forward to next week, this is a general guideline that has been shared via different sources that may help you create a new normal in your home. We understand that some of you may not be able to adhere to this due to different circumstances be it young children, working from home, essential workers, and so many more. Please remember, just do your best, stay calm, and if it doesn't work out right away, reach out, try again later, or take a break.
________________________________________
Making a schedule will help to organize your day. According to many online learning communities, this is a general guideline of learning. This doesn't mean that you need to stick to a rigid schedule but instead use this as a guideline. Learning at home does not need to be for as long as a full day of school.
Your goal should be on task learning following the guidelines below.
K-2...... 1-2 hours a day with breaks
3-5....... 2-3 hours a day with breaks
6-8 ...... 3-4 hours a day with breaks
-----------------------------
According to the Government announcement today, these are the expectations for learning going forward:
________________________________________
Through the rest of this week, please remember that you can look back on each of our previous months of learning. You can ask your child to play different games with you. Some require simple tools such as cards, dice, grid paper. If you do not have these items at home, make a deck of cards with paper or use materials from different games.
I hope that you and your families are staying safe, washing your hands often, and remembering to smile and spend kindness and love towards one another. I miss you all very much.

Hi families,
An email was sent out tonight to ask questions regarding technology in the home. We are using this information to get an understanding of the technology needs for all the children in your household and to assess whether they could continue to learn online should schools be closed for a significant amount of time. I am tracking this information and will follow up with a phone call if a response is not received. Please respond and I will share this information with our administration who is working with the Board to find ways to reduce these barriers.
For those looking for information in the meantime... please see check out the Learning At Home/COVID-19 Page linked via the button below.
I am here to support you in any way that I can and am currently trying to come up with a plan to support learning at home, please stay tuned, check your email, and check back often.
Thank you for your understanding, patience, and know that I miss each and every one of your children very much.
Miss Merritt
March, 2020
Through this difficult time I would like you to know that I am here for questions, concerns, to chat, whatever you need. Please note that schools will be closed for March Break next week and for the two weeks after. We as teachers, found out this information at the same time as the public and are trying to work through what this means for learning, time at home, and how we can support you.
If you are looking for something to do, here are some ideas. I will be trying to do posts every few days with ideas, games, websites, and to check in with families. If you have any questions, please let me know with an email to merrittjo@hdsb.ca.

Math: We are continuing to work through out measurement unit. So far we have done length and perimeter. Starting next week we will be focusing on area. Over the next couple weeks we will also be starting to look at multiplication and division. Students are expected to know up to 7X7 in grade 3, so if you want to start practicing facts at home that would be very beneficial.
Language: Students are in the middle of creating their Non-Fiction dinosaur trading card on the Google Drive about the dinosaur that they have researched. We will be finishing this and looking at which non-fiction text features they used and what purpose they solved.
Science: We are starting our unit Structures! Throughout the next several weeks, we will be looking at strong stable structures and figure out what makes them strong. Students will get to create structures and apply a force to it. We will be exploring different types of bridges and how they are made in order to be strong.
**Reminder, continue working on your reading every night and Dreambox 3 times a week.
Monday February 10, 2020
Math: Over the last few weeks we have been looking at measurement! Students will be measuring objects using standard (km, m, cm and mm) as well as non standard units (items of the same size). Students have been practicing using a ruler properly and converting between different unites. Moving forward, we will be calculating both the area (inside an object) and perimeter (outside length of an object) of objects. You can practice measuring objects at home!
Language: Students have been taking what they have learned about Non-Fiction text features and apply it to their own creation. We will be using online research tools to gather information about different dinosaurs and creating their own Dinosaur Trading card. They will have to include the text features we have learned and the will be going through the writing process to create this. They will also be expected to do dot-jots before writing focusing on pulling out only the relevant information.
Social Studies: We are finishing up this unit with a project! Students will be getting the information about a city that they will then have to create a fact sheet for, determine the location of it in Ontario, determine jobs and resources their city will produce and create a map of their city. This will be done in class.
Science: At the end of January beginning of February we will be starting our next unit...STRUCTURES! Stay tuned!
**Reminder, continue working on your reading every night and Dreambox 3 times a week.
Wednesday January 15, 2020
We are lucky enough to have library with Mrs Grant every Wednesday morning. She has just introduced the SILVER BIRCH EXPRESS!
We are so excited to begin 'Silver Birch Express' this week in Library. Over the next 4 months, students are encouraged to read ALL 10 Silver Birch Express Books. In May, we will vote to see which book was our favourite. This data will then be gathered, with all the votes from the rest of the province, to see which book is Ontario's WINNER! It is so exciting so be part of this provincial voting process and we hope we can reach the goal of 'Reading all 10 BOOKS!'.

Happy New Year!
Just a reminder that pizza starts January 10 (this Friday) and goes until March Break.
School Updates
Math: In the next couple weeks we will be starting part of our measurement unit. We will be exploring time, temperature and calendar. Students will need to be able to read a digital clock and understand it (e.g., 1:23 is 23 minutes past 1 o'clock) and read an analog clock to the nearest 5 minutes. When looking at temperature students will be required to read a thermometer in Celsius and identify bench marks (e.g., water freezes at 0 degrees Celsius). When looking at the calendar students will have to know the months of the year, days of the week and elapsed time (e.g., what is the date in 12 day or what is the date 4 weeks from tomorrow).
Language: We are going to be looking at Non Fiction text features in books and how they are used and the importance of the different text features. They will be practicing writing to teach people based on non fiction information that they gather. We are continuing to have Writers Workshop where students can explore the different types of writing as well. Our big focus for January is during the conference time applying what we talked about and setting their goals to their work (e.g., consistently add more detail or use complete thoughts when writing a sentence). Ask your child what their writing goals are and practice at home!
Social Studies: We are continuing to explore Ontario and the regions. We will be focusing on land use in Ontario and the different regions. We will also be exploring mapping, the features of a map and practice creating and reading various maps.
Science: We are finishing our discussions about both natural forces and how to stay safe, as well as where we can find safety items around us to protect us from forces (e.g., seatbelts, parachutes, helmets, etc). At the end of January beginning of February we will be starting our next unit...STRUCTURES! Stay tuned!
**Reminder, continue working on your reading every night and Dreambox 3 times a week.
Happy 2020! Looking forward to more wonderful learning adventures with 3-1!
December 20th, 2019
Wishing you and your family a wonderful winter holiday. Please remember that we are off of school until January 6th when we return to our normal school schedule.
Happy Holidays!

School Updates
Math: We are working on Subtraction still as this is a tricky concept for students to grasp, especially as we have moved on to 3 digit numbers. We are currently working on showing different strategies in our answers including standard algorithm, number line, base ten blocks, and expanded form. Although working on basic skills of subtraction, we are also applying our knowledge in problem solving questions.
Language: Students have been working through the writing process and have been receiving mini lessons regarding the different stages in which they are navigating. We are working on our revision skills, checking the success criteria and making sure out ideas make sense. These revising techniques need to come before we check our work for the every day conventions that help us when we read such as punctuation, spelling, and capitalization. Ask your students to tell you about their procedure that they are currently writing.
Social Studies: We are looking at the different municipalities and in Ontario and what different cities and towns in Ontario have to offer. We are asking questions such as: What are the similarities? What are the differences? How does the land support the employment in that area? How does the community and municipality support the needs of the people that live there? We are taking our learned knowledge and applying it to different areas in Ontario.
Science: Checking back in with forces, we are working on revisiting the different forces we have learned about. We will be looking at safety and how different forces can be changed while keeping us safe. We are also looking at natural forces that occur in the environment around us and around the word.
This week:
November 28th, 2019
Field Trip forms went home yesterday! We are having a trip to The Museum in Kitchener on December 11, 2019. Please pay online and return the form ASAP. Thank you!
Just a reminder milk, pizza and paramount food orders are available online until December 1. Get your orders in soon!
School Updates
Math: We have finished with addition and are working on Subtraction. Students will be working on using different subtraction strategies to solve 3 digit subtraction problems. We will be using base 10 blocks to help with regrouping, number lines and the standard algorithm. We will also be using the knowledge of place value to assist with subtraction. Once the basic skill of subtraction is understood, we will be looking at applying our knowledge in problem solving questions.
Language: Students have started choosing what they are writing about in language during Writers Workshop and we have started making goals to improve their work through conferences. During mini lessons, we have been looking at procedural writing such as instructions and recipes. We will be exploring the use of transition words (first, next, then, last) as well as the use of steps. In procedural writing, the organization of the writing is important. Each step should be on its own line. It should be very descriptive and include a picture to go along with each step. Once done, students will try to follow their peers steps in order to create/do something (e.g., get ready for recess). In reading we will be talking about inferences and predicting while reading by using the clues given.
Social Studies: We are continuing to explore Ontario and the regions. We will be looking at the municipalities and what different cities and towns in Ontario have to offer.
Science: In December, we will be going back to science with a focus on Natural Forces that can affect our wold around us. On the field trip we will be looking at structures and we will be exploring what happens when different forces in our world are applied.
**Reminder, continue working on your reading every night and Dreambox 3 times a week.
Monday November 11, 2019
Just a reminder, student led conference forms with your interview time will be coming out at the end of this week. Interviews will be held the week of November 18th.
School Updates
Math: We will be working on addition and subtraction of three digit numbers with and without regrouping. Students will need to add and subtract using a variety of strategies and manipulatives, communicate their thinking and do word problems.
Language: We are lucky enough to have Ms Peace coming into our classroom to guide us through some language learning. We are working on our becoming writers with topics that we are passionate about. Just like authors we need to go through certain steps in order to publish or work on our best work. We are learning the Writing Process as well as the 7 Traits of all writers. Ask your child what they are writing about!
Social Studies: We have been learning about Ontario and the 3 land form regions. Students will continue learning about all regions, what makes each region unique. The municipalities in the regions, employment opportunities and much more!
Art: For Remembrance day, we took at look at poppies and their importance to the In Flanders Field poem by John McCrae. We worked with a new medium of water colour and chose between two different examples to attempt our own works of art. We are all artists and couldn't be prouder of how our work turned out. We Remember.
Tuesday November 5, 2019
Hello families,
Intramurals have started for the Grade 3s and are available on Tuesdays 1st break in the gym. Students are welcome to partake during their recess time to get active, have fun, and enjoy their peers.
Remembrance Day is coming on November 11th and the Grade 3 students will be reciting Flanders Fields for our school primary assembly. We have been discussing the poem, Remembrance Day and it's importance, as well as making some poppy art to commemorate the day.
Progress Reports are coming home soon and we have begun to plan and set student led interview time. Please stay tuned to your email for more information and sign up. If you have siblings in multiple grades (excluding Kindergarten), we are working on scheduling your interviews together so that you are only required to attending one evening.
Subject Updates:
Math: We have finished our patterning unit and for the next couple weeks we will be looking at place value. We will focus on composing and decomposing numbers and the value of the digit (e.g., 286 the 8 is worth 80). Students will be looking at how to write expanded form of numbers (e.g., 286 = 200+80+6) and using the base ten blocks/base ten doodles to represent numbers.
Language: We are working on our writing and using the writing process with our writing. We will be focusing on creating juicy sentences, as well as taking something from the brainstorming phase to the publishing phase. Recently we have been working on our Monster paragraphs and are learning that it can take many attempts and many steps to get things just the way we want them. In reading, we are focusing on REAL reading versus FAKE reading. The idea being that when we really read and really learn, that we are doing many different thinking processes. Practicing reading at home and challenging your child to explain what they think, predict, connect with, question, and want to know about their reading is a very helpful skill and homework task.
Social Studies: We have started our first unit in social studies: Living and Working in Ontario! We are exploring Ontario, the land form regions, information about each region, municipalities and exploring what makes a town and city. We will also be discussing questions like why is our region the most populated even though it is the smallest compared to Canadian Shield Hudson Bay Lowlands.
Landform Regions: Hudson Bay Lowlands, Canadian Shield, and Great Lake/St Lawrence Lowlands
Monday October 21, 2019
WHAT A BUSY MONTH IT HAS BEEN! I hope that students have been filling you in on all of the exciting things that have been happening in 3-1.
This week:
Subject Updates:
Math: This past week we have been working hard on continuing our patterning unit in math. We are challenging ourselves to THINK in different ways about patterns and apply them to different situations and word problems. This week, we are diving in to Number Sense and looking at place value. This means we are composing and decomposing numbers in standard form, expanded form, and written form.
Language: In language we are having students work through the writing process with a piece of their own work. We are also beginning to look at reading strategies such as visualizing during both read alouds as well as our own reading time.
Art: In art we are continuing with our last element of line art project.
Social Studies: We are beginning social studies with a closer look at Ontario and the different landforms which we can find. We will be moving towards what types of jobs we can find in Ontario and why they are specific to our region.
Science: We will be putting science on hold for a little while and be checking back in with forces when we can.
Thursday October 3, 2019
Hello families,
Just a reminder that the cross country meet has been moved to tomorrow. It is supposed to be chilly, so please make sure to send lots of layers, healthy snacks, and water for your child.
A huge shoutout to all of the families who donated money towards the Terry Fox Walk. We raised over $2400 and will celebrate tomorrow with an end of the day assembly where certain teachers will be doing their "rewards". Mrs T will be getting her hair cut, Mr Marshall will be having his favourite tie cut, Mr Carmichael will be having his beard dyed, and more!
Reminder that we are collecting money for our annual food drive. Please send in non-perishable food items if you are able to help families in our community in need.
Check back often as I will be posting up to date information on what's going on in our classroom!

Tomorrow is Orange Shirt Day! If you would like to have more discussions with your child at home regarding the importance of the message "Every Child Matters", please visit the website http://www.orangeshirtday.org/ for more information. We have been having some wonderful discussions regarding the circumstances around Residential Schools and the course of action that the government has taken over the years. Ask your child what they think of what happened.
Residential schools left thousands of Indigenous children and their families with many painful memories. When Phyllis Webstad was just six years old, she was excited to start at a new school and proudly wore a brand new orange shirt for her first day. When she arrived, her excitement turned to fear. She didn’t know it at the time, but she had arrived at a residential school and was soon forced to cut her hair and change out of her clothes. She was stripped of her identity. Her new orange shirt was taken from her and she never got it back. The colour orange has since then reminded her that as a First Nations child, her feelings don't matter and no one cared about her. She felt worthless. This is why on September 30, we honour Orange Shirt Day - to recognize the harm that residential schools did to the identity, self-esteem, and well-being of First Nations, Métis, Inuit children and communities. Be sure to wear your orange on Monday!
Our annual food drive has started! Looking for a way to make a difference this year? Starting Monday September 30th we will be doing a food drive for non-perishable food items. This means bringing in canned and boxed food items to donate to families who need some extra help putting food on their tables. The food drive runs from September 30th until October 10th. Our goal is to fill 50 boxes! Come on BEARS let’s work together, be kind, and make a difference!
Moving forward, SCHOOL MESSENGER! Starting this week, we will be communicating with parents through School Messenger. Many of you have already signed up for School Messenger and are receiving information regarding the Boyne Public School community. In addition to this, we are using School Messenger for our classroom communication this year. We will be emailing out reminders, things we are working on, as well as images of our class hard at work. If you have not signed up for School Messenger yet, please see the information below. We would love to build and continue the connection between school, home, and student and this is a great tool we look forward to utilizing.
School Updates
Math: We have just finished our Data Management unit. We will be moving onto Number Patterns. This includes, repeating (1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3 or 1, 2, 4, 5, 10) growing (2, 4, 6, 8) shrinking (12, 9, 6, 3) and increasing (1, 2, 4, 7, 11). We will be working on this for the next couple weeks. Students will be expected to create, continue and explore various patterns.
Language: We have been working on creating strong sentences. Over the next couple weeks we will continue to look at the parts of a sentence and making them the bet they can be. We will look at compound sentences, types of sentences and then moving into creating a proper paragraph. Proper paragraphs will include topic sentence, 3 juicy details and a concluding sentence (hamburger style). Reading we are continuing to set up Readers Workshop and think more about when we are reading focusing on visualizing and making connections.
Science: We have started science! We have started to discuss forces as a class and identify the 6 different types. We have discussed how they fit within Push and Pull. We will be starting to do experiments to show the different types of forces in our world.

Just a reminder that tomorrow is Terry Fox and our first school spirit day of wearing Red and White. We are hoping to take a class picture and would love to see your students supporting both Terry Fox and showing their school spirit.
We are also having our first Math check in tomorrow on data management with surveys and bar graphs. Some students choose to take their math duotangs home tonight to look over some of the details.
Monday September 23, 2019 - Welcome!
The past couple weeks have been super busy as we settle into Grade 3!
Just a couple reminders:
School Updates
Math: We have started working on Data Management. We have been creating surveys, collecting data and displaying it in bar graphs. We have also been interpreting information from bar graphs. Although we have been collecting and assessing student learning as we are progressing, we will be having a unit check in this week.
DREAMBOX! Students in Grade 3 are lucky enough to have access to Dreambox by the HDSB. Stay tuned for student login information as I have assigned their first assignment to help supplement student learning.
Language: We are currently working establishing routines in the classroom. In Writing, we are focusing on making strong sentences. We will be looking at the parts of a sentence (noun, verb, adjective, types of punctuation) and making really strong juicy sentences. We will continue to work on this over the next couple weeks in order to prepare for the other styles of writing. In reading we are working on choosing the "just right book" and our overall comprehension as well as beginning to look at the skill of visualization.
Science: We will be starting our first Science unit Forces! We will be starting this week and taking a look at the different forces that are in our world.
Tuesday September 3, 2019 - Welcome!
