Field Placement Requirements (Effective Spring 2018)

Mild/Moderate Program

For ALL M/M placements:

• • P12 students in the above settings must have mild/moderate disabilities

  • Grade level in above settings must align with intended level of license

  • CT must be licensed in special education (traditional placements only); a CT with a special education permit will not be approved

  • Candidates must be hired as the special education teacher (in place only)

  • Candidates must have access to students appropriate for course projects

  • Field Placement Coordinator to arrange special accommodations as needed (e.g., interpretation for FS)
