8P3-STRAWBEES.MOVUsing Strawbees I created two different things. I did this because I looked up some ideas of what to make, and these seemed fun and complicated. I created with the help of Tanner a Farris Wheel, and a giant dome thingy
During this process, I learned how to use the strawberries and make something cool out of them. For example, the different types of connectors make it look better than if I used just one type. Plus, I learned how to make my own six connecter.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project is tied to Knowledge Constructor. My project ties to this because I didn't know how to make a Farris Wheel but I looked up how to get it started so that I could finish it myself. Plus, I looked up how to make connectors that have more than 5 ends.
A challenge I overcame on this project was not knowing how to connect 6 or more straws at one time. I was able to do it by looking up how to do it. Plus, for the first couple of days, I had no clue how to connect any of the straws, so I watched a tutorial.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how the Farris wheel looked. I would want the Farris wheel to be much bigger than it was. The reason why I would change it is because it would look way cooler if it was super big, and it could spin.
