Are you working by yourself or in a team?
I will be working by myself.
What materials will you need for your project?
I will need the Cricut design website, my computer and vinyl.
What is your plan to create in this project?
I will start with small designs and then slowly evolve it into a unique, awesome design.
What unique qualities will your project have?
This design will be unique to me. No one will combine the an engine sybmoll and my Xbox gamertag.
I decided what I wanted to do, list of 10, and planning questions. I chose this picture because it's an example of something I can make.
I started exploring the Cricut design space. I watched many youtube videos. I didn't make any progress on the sticker itself.
I made my first design. It was a tiger face with my Xbox name. I plan to make more.
Today I finished my first rough copy for my sticker. I'm not completely done. but for now I'm starting a new design. My inspiration for this design is the Hogwarts logo.
I started my third design. I abandoned my second design. It just didn't fit how I wanted it to. However, my third design fit my type of setup and meant something to me.
I made sure my sticker was how I wanted and up to my standards. I added an Oni Mask, my favorite game and the console I've played on all my life.
I finally printed my final version. I used the computers located behnd the cricuts and went through the steps to print it. The measurements are roughly 8x6 inches. When I buy my PC I plan to stick it on the glass/plastic pane.
I made my reflection. I made sure to add extra sentences to get the full 100%. I made the iMovie to showcase my product.
Using Cricut Design Space, I created a sticker for my PC that I will soon be buying because I thought that it would be a perfect additon to my setup. I chose the color dark navy blue to match the color of everything else in my setup. My desk is dark black, my deskmat is dark blue. Everything matches.
During this process, I learned how to make a unique, solid design. I started with a few mediocre designs. They just didn't fit the mood I wanted. However, I soon learned how to find new designs and it made my sticker 10x better.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learnerbecause I used a software I had absolutely zero experience in. I started with watching youtube videos. I then made my own versions. In the end, I made an awesome design.
A challenge I overcame on this project was finding a design that was good for me. I was able to do it by looking for inspiration from others and putting that to my own design. I started with a tiger. It didn't look right to me. I immediately knew I wanted to put an Oni Mask after finding inspiration.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the size and complexity of my design. The reason why I would change it is because it looks a little too boring. Don't get me wrong, I love it but I see famous people with the coolest designs ever. I would love to match them. If I had more time and tools I could. For now, I'll settle with my awesome design.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. This is because I desinged and engineered my product design. My project connects to careers in the logo industry. I could make special and unique designs that businesses could use. For example, many companies have changed their logo after many years to fit the modern norm. I could aid in the creation of these, making them my way.
