What is your plan to create in this project? my plan is to create a space heist
What unique qualities will your project have to separate it from other peoples’ projects? It is an idea that has been a year in the making.
What materials will you need for your project? my computer.
Project Log
Day One: I first went in to cospaces, and made a foundation for the space station
Day Two: I made final touches to the building, and started to add detail.
Day Three: I finished detail, and started coding everything together, and also make a win screen.
Day Four: I made some final touches to my website, and submitted the project.
Using the virtual reality equipment and co spaces, I ended up creating A virtual bank heist. I did this because it seemed like a fun thing to make, and it seemed like a fun thing to build, and that it was. It ended up being pretty cool, and it was a big project.
During this process, I figured out how to use code independently. What I mean when I say that, is that I didn't look anything up, and I just threw something together that is almost based off of my last years project. It was a really cool idea, and I wanted to see if I could do anything different about it.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor, because I took all of the things I knew about the website I was building off of, and all of what I remember, and made a project out of it. It turned out as expected.
A challenge I overcame on this project was time management. I was able to do it by taking the stuff I knew about last year, and the mistakes I made, and used that to do this project in a little under 4 hours. It was much faster than last year.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the idea of my project. The reason why I would change it is because I have done this Idea twice, and I could now move on from the idea, since I have done it twice now. It was a very fun thing to work on.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in game programing.
