Are you working by yourself or in a team? I am working in a team.
What materials will you need for your project? a pillow, computer, and working internet. Also, a embroidery machine.
What is your plan to create in this project? My plan is to create a design on a towel.
What unique qualities will your project have to separate it from other peoples’ projects? It will be a different design than other projects.
Project Log
Day One: We first got all of our stuff on our website ready, then went to see the embroidery machine.
Day Two: We worked more on the embroidery machine and figured out how to use it.
Day Three: We thought about what we wanted to do, and we decided on a pumpkin.
Day Four: We had to figure out how to get the image that we wanted onto the embroidery machine.
Day Five: We decided that it was too hard to get a image with the certain file, so we found an image that looked like a pumpkin that was already on the machine, and we started the project.
Day Six: We finished the towel, and then finished up our project.
Using the embroidery machine, I created a pumpkin. I did this because it was a fun thing to work on and tinker with. There were a lot of fun things that I did during the project.
During this process, I learned how to use the embroidery machine. I didn't know how to even turn it on before the project, but now I know how to make stuff with it. I also learned more about the files that go on the embroidery machine.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor, because I took all of the things my teacher told me, and used the embroidery machine. It took a while to finally understand the machine, but we did it.
A challenge I overcame on this project was learning to use the embroidery machine. I was able to do it by googling stuff, and asking my teacher. It took longer than expected.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change what image i used. The reason why I would change it is because we could've made our own image, or even used one from the internet, but we didn't have time. There was a lot of potential to our project.
