What materials will you need for your project? editing software, and a computer.
What is your plan to create in this project? My plan is to create a promotional cross country video.
What unique qualities will your project have to separate it from other peoples’ projects? It will be a video about cross country.
Project Log
Day One: I took 255 photos that my teacher gave me for the cross country, and narrowed it down to about 40 photos to work with.
Day Two: I started editing by putting in a title, and the fight song in the background.
Day Three: I put in the first few photos, and made the fight song quieter.
Day Four: I made a 30 second interview about cross country, and how it means to other people.
Day five: I finished up the edits, and submitted the project.
Using green screen and videos and photos that Mr. Renner sent me, I created a cross country promotional video. I did this because Mr. Renner suggested it. I also thought it would be a fun project to work on.
During this process, I learned how to better edit and download files to the computer. I already knew how to, but I sometimes have problems getting into the files in Google drive. overall, I got better at downloading and editing files.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor because I took the knowledge I had, and what some other people knew, and worked together a slideshow. I learned more about how to edit, and what more of the picture settings are.
A challenge I overcame on this project was the constant changes to editing and time. I was able to do it by figuring out exactly what I need to do, and doing it. I finally finished the project, but it did take much longer than I expected.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the photos I used. The reason why I would change it is because I would want photos from the next year that I could work with, and make a new video. Overall, I liked the way I put together the video.
