Are you working by yourself or in a team? I am working in a group of two.
What materials will you need for your project? my computer, a merge cube, and Cospaces.
What is your plan to create in this project? I would like to create a level where you have to get to the end as Luke Skywalker.
What unique qualities will your project have to separate it from other peoples’ projects? My project will not be he same when it comes to how the level is built and there are lots of different things that you can look at.
Day one: First, we made the starting spot and made walls around it, and basically just got the basic things down. We were also getting used to all of the different things in the software.
Day two: We figured out all of the colors and what they do, and we put down coins and enemies so you have something to fight, and put more of the map down.
Day three: we finished up the map and added backgrounds for the ending, and we added obi-wan.
Using Bloxels, I created a star wars level. I did this because It was a star wars themed Bloxels, and I wanted to make a level because it seemed fun.
During this process, I learned how to better control Bloxels and how to color code.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor because I used the knowledge I know about technology and games and built a star wars level.
A challenge I overcame on this project was color coding. I was able to do it by taking a day to figure it out.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the level and how long it is. The reason why I would change it is because there was so much we could've added, but we didn't. We probably would've added more detail.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in coding.
Note: we couldn't get the photos because they were on the technology computers and we left without them, so we couldn't get them, and we were just a few photos short anyways.
