Are you working by yourself or in a team? I am working by myself.
What materials will you need for your project? I will need my computer, the makey makey, and the items to make the buttons work.
What is your plan to create in this project? My plan is to create a Mario platformer type game, where you have to finish a level with 180 seconds.
What unique qualities will your project have to separate it from other peoples’ projects? It will be a game with more than one level,
C1 Step 1: we first figured out how to work with the wires, then we got to work on building the controller. We got all of the wires connected and figured out how to put it back together the next day.
Step 2: We hooked the controller up to a game called jelly Mario, and tried to play it, and it was working. We also mapped out the buttons better, so it looked cooler.
C2 Step One: The game we made the controller for only needed one button, so all we needed to do, was make a jump button for the game, and we were good.
Using Makey Makey, we created a controller for Jelly Mario. We did this because we found the game, and we wanted to build a controller for it. We created the up, down, left, and right for the controller, plus the reset button.
During this process, I learned that conduction works in many different ways. I didn't know that conduction can go through several people. I was cool to experiment with conduction.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor because We used the knowledge we knew, and built off of it. We needed a bit of info on what we didn't know, but it turned out ok.
A challenge I overcame on this project was figuring out how to connect the controller together. I was able to do it by asking a friend and having him show me. After making the controller work, the rest was easy.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change some of the choices we made or the controller. The reason why I would change it is because there were a lot of different things we could have done for the controller, but we didn't. We could have added more design to the controllers then just making circles.
