Are you working by yourself or in a team? I am working in a team.
What materials will you need for your project? Drones, a computer, and a iPad.
What is your plan to create in this project? My plan is to test two types of drones, and to see which one is better.
What unique qualities will your project have to separate it from other peoples’ projects? It will be a project to test something.
Project Log
Day One: We first set up our site, then we got out the first set of drones. We then tested and got more comfortable with the drones, then we raced each other with the drones.
Day Two: We got another set of drones and we got used to them, then we raced with this set of drones.
Day Three: We then took one drone from each set and raced them to see which drone is the better one.
Day Four: We finished up the project, and figured out that the first set of drones were the better drone, but they are easier to crash.
Using drones, I created a test on what drone in better. I did this because it seemed like it would be nice to know what drone is better. They were both good for different reasons.
During this process, I learned how to fly drones much better. It wasn't as hard as I thought it was. I learned a lot about each of the drones.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor because I took what I knew about drones, and I got better at flying them. I knew barely nothing about drones walking into this project.
A challenge I overcame on this project was flying the drones. I was able to do it by practicing on how to fly them. It didn't take long to learn.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the obstacle. The reason why I would change it is because there are different spots to fly the drones, and there are a lot of fun choices. I would probably fly in the commons if I were to do this again.
