• Using A broken drone, an iPad, a soldering iron and solder, and tools like screwdrivers, I created an almost working drone because we wanted to make something work by learning new skills and doing things we hadn't before.

• During this process, I learned how to solder, along with also learning how to take apart one of the not working drones and how to put it back together.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to knowledge constructor because we watched videos to learn how to solder.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was not knowing how to get the drone working. I was able to do it by soldering and trying to get it working.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change how long it took us to get started. The reason why I would change it is because I feel that we could have got the last propeller working and we could have got the drone in the air.

•  Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School.  

• My project connects to careers like Electrition because we worked with wires and electricity.
