Reflection
Using BBC's micro bit app, and a micro bit, I created a disappearing duck. two types of dice, one that shows a number between 1 and 20, the other that is like a monopoly dice with the dots. because I felt again that they would be pretty fun to make a duck that could teleport between the three of us, Colten me and Thomas, but it ended up not working for so we made exploding duck.
During this process, I learned how to make specific things using block code like two types of dice, my name and a exploding duck.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to global collaborator because I posted all of my work and projects to a website that anyone in the world can see..
A challenge I overcame on this project was trying to make a group teleporting duck I was able to do it by not giving up per say but switching the project to a exploding duck instead.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change trying to do the group duck and switch it to a normal teleporting duck . The reason why I would change it is because it would be much easier and I would be able to do more different projects.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers like junior programmer because starting from scratch I was able to make a piece of technology do almost what I wanted it to do by programming it with code.
