7p9 Stop Motion

Using wood blocks, iMotion, iMovie, and my Ipad, I created a bunch of old buildings from the time of the Roman Empire because me and Colten thought that it would be fun and enjoyable process. But in reality it was an angering and annoying tedious process in which we had to rebuild the structure many times as you can see in the video.

During this process, I learned smart ways to build with wood blocks. For example I learned that if you are trying to build high you need a very strong base.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because me and Colten improved and innovated after every failure making the base stronger and everything better.

A challenge I overcame on this project was everything me and Colten made kept falling over. I was able to do it by making everything stronger as we learned and innovated and fixed as we went.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change what we tried to do. The reason why I would change it is because with everything getting broken over and over we had to do so many different things that ended up being sub-par by my standards.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Engineering Design, and Multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School.  

My project connects to careers in animation because we made a seemingly animated video with art and things we made by hand.
