Using An I pad, tin foil and a ruler, I created two tin-foil boats because I wanted to create the best tin-foil boat for holding pennies.
During this process, I learned how to fold a tin-foil boat.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative design because I created my own design of a boat.
A challenge I overcame on this project was the pennies weight. I was able to do it by increasing the boat size.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the sides of the boat. The reason why I would change it is because they are uneven and one side gives out before the others.

My project connects to the Engineering design CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in engineering because I designed and created a tinfoil boat and improved it over 2 tests.
