Day 1

I tried to figure out what to do

I thought of an engine but it was too hard

I decided on a drone body

I started making the body

I had the body cut with the lazer out of wood

the drone would fly if i had the third propeller because the thrust when its in my hand can make it flip over

Using tinker CAD, a 3d printer and my computer I created a drone because I wanted to test myself.
During this process, I learned how to scale my model to real life size.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative designer because I created a drone.
A challenge I overcame on this project was the propellers. I was able to do it by just using what I could with what I had.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the design. The reason why I would change it is because I could've made it weigh less so it would be able to fly easier.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Engineering because I have created a drone that would be able to fly if it had all of its propellers.
