Planning Question
Are you working by yourself or in a team?
I will be working with Remi on this project.
What materials will you need for your project?
We will need wood, paint, 3d printer, small statue, computer, and an iPad.
What is your plan to create in this project?
A Cobra Trophy
What unique qualities will your project have?
We will be using multiple pieces of classroom equipment.
Day 1
Today, Remi and I decided we were going to work together. We decided we were going to do something that had to do with Cobra Kai. We made a list of 10 ideas and our planning questions. We decided we were going to make a trophy made by a 3D print and wood.
Day 2
Remi and I started to work on our 3D prints that we need for this project.
Day 3
Remington and I got our 3D print together.
Day 4
Today, we added some final details to our 3D print. We then sent our print to Mr. Renner. Unfortunately, Mr. Renner was not present today so we could not print the 3D print.
Today is the last day of the quarter and the 3D print is still not printed. On top of that, we want to make the wooden stand for it. Clearly, we will not have enough time for this so we decided to make a part 2 for this project next quarter. We still did make a video about it though.
Using a computer, 3-D Printer, and filament, we created a Cobra Karate Trophy Decoration. We did this because we both really enjoy karate. We also did this because we wanted to show off our love for karate.
During this process, I learned more knowledge on the software Tinkercad. Including how to change the snap grid. I also learned that there are more options for things you can add to your project like drawing. I also learned to add text and all the cool stuff around that.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor because I had only a hint of knowledge on how to use the software Tinkercad entering this project. But now coming out of the project I have a pretty good understanding of how it works.
A challenge I overcame on this project was not having much time to work. I was able to do it by for the little time I had really fully focusing and giving it as much as I could. Another challenge was this was due at the end of the quarter so we couldn't finish our even start printing.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the size. The reason why I would change it is because it was too small. The trophy because of it. And that means when we hand it to someone they might think its second place.
